Ares Philosophy: Driven by customer feedback and internal research a decade ago, Steelco started the development of its endoscopy product platform, initially launching the EW 2 advanced technology AER. To this day, the EW 2 system still represents one of the best solutions internationally available in terms of safety, automation, traceability and ergonomy.
Steelco continued expanding it’s solution for the complete workflow of endoscope reprocessing, leading to a full cutting edge range including Pre-Cleaning Device, AERs, Drying Cabinets, Endoscopy Transport Solutions, Traceability Software and Project Management in planning customized GI suites.
Steelco AERs are designed and constructed to the latest European Standard EN ISO 15883-1/4, with Drying Cabinets to EN 16442:2014 with full independent test validation undertaken at leading independent European test centers.

EW1
Highest flexibility is granted by the compact design, which assures low cycle costs by reduced consumption of water, chemicals and energy.
The integrated monitoring system assures a higher level of safety by checking flow and pressure of the instrument connection.
EW1 endoscope reprocessor is endowed with a stainless steel base for the storage of process chemicals. Free standing or table top – the EW 1 design provides an installation set for any facility. Using the “rack” option, two EW 1 machines will be installed on the top of each other on a mobile shelf. This set up allows asynchronous reprocessing of 2 flexible endoscopes on a small footprint. Furthermore, available the pass-through version!

By using Steelco process chemicals the EW 1 automatic endoscope reprocessor reaches the highest efficiency results proven by microbiological tests together with complete documentation and instruments maximum safety conditions.
Process traceability made easy
Instrument and operator recognition can be faster through the bar-code reader option. Batch data information can be stored on a memory stick connected to the integrated USB interface.
EW2
Steelco EW 2 is developed for the treatment of all types and brands of flexible. The machine has been developed and certified to fully comply with the ISO 15883-1 and ISO 15883-4 directives and it incorporates all the latest innovative technologies.
Steelco EW 2 can run the washing and high-level disinfection cycle at low temperature of 2 flexible endoscopes simultaneously. For video bronchoscopes and fibrobronchoscopes the capacity can be even increased up to eight instruments per batch.
It also allows the process of thermal disinfection for instruments such as rigid scopes with a specific wash cart. It can be supplied in a pass-through interlocked double door version, or single door with overturning wing at an ergonomic height.
Complete cleaning and disinfection cycle time of 2 flexible endoscopes in 30 minutes. EW 2 performs sterile air channel purging before every single cycle phase.
Steelco has implemented on the EW 2 AER the identification of the process chemicals together with the registration of the lot number and expiration date. An important safety application that keeps the process monitored and documented also in this often neglected aspect.
