IKA introduces the world‘s first disposable grinding system for safe, instant and precise milling results. Its unique and compact design makes the unit space saving and ultra-portable. The disposable grinding chamber eliminates the possibility of cross-contamination and saves you cleaning costs and time. Convenient and safe to use while assuring high safety and reproducibility to cover a broad range of applications. The ability to cool the sample with dry ice expands applications tremendously. During development of the mill, particular emphasis was placed on user safety.
Regardless of whether samples are hard, soft or fibrous – the IKA MultiDrive crusher can perform a wide range of crushing tasks involving coarse and fine crushing, thanks to the variety of vessels available (vessels not included in delivery). With the MultiDrive basic it is possible to mix or grind. There is a USB interface available for easy actuation and documentation respectively. In combination with the milling chamber MI 250 MultiDrive basic replaces your M 20 mill.
High performance
Excellent crushing performance is guaranteed by a combination of
variable rotational speeds, ranging from 3000 rpm to 20 000 rpm,
and a 1000 Watt output.
Interval operation
The option of interval programming is simple to activate at the
press of a button. Interval operation is an asset during the coarse
crushing of hard samples or for extra thorough blending.
Integrated cooling
A cooling system is integrated in the milling cup, which allows
indirect heat dissipation. Thus, coolant and sample remain separate.
Variety of vessels (accessory)
MultiDrive provides the right vessel for each grinding task.
Vessels don't belong to the scope of delivery.

A clear TFT-display guarantees user-friendly operation.
Temperature measurement
MultiDrive control offers temperature measurement and vessel
recognition using RFID. A temperature limit can be set for
temperature-sensitive materials, or for specific planned reactions to
protect against overheating.
Weighing function
The weighing function is also integrated into the user-friendly
workflow of the IKA MultiDrive control. Weighing is performed
before crushing using the same mixing cup, so that no transfer
of contents is required.

Scope of delivery
Crushing without cross-contamination - this is possible with the MultiDrive control package including autoclavable disposable tubes BT 250 and the required TC 1 protective housing for dry samples.
BT 250 is a disposable tube with a cross-shaped stainless steel beater and flow breakers. The plastic blending tube can be autoclaved. This effectively prevents cross-contamination even if it is used multiple times. An integrated RFID chip simultaneously stores and limits the lifespan of the blending tube. 5 spare seals are included in the scope of delivery. By replacing the seal, the service life of the blending tube can be extended. The disposable tube can only be operated with the TC 1 protective housing which is also included in the scope of delivery.

Crushing without cross-contamination - this is possible with the MultiDrive control package including autoclavable disposable tubes MT 150 and the required TC 1 protective housing for dry samples.
MT 150 is a disposable tube with a typical stainless steel beater. The plastic milling tube can be autoclaved. This effectively prevents cross-contamination even if it is used multiple times. An integrated RFID chip simultaneously stores and limits the lifespan of the milling tube. 5 spare seals are included in the scope of delivery. Scope of delivery
The world’s first patented Tube Mill 100 control is a batch mill with disposable grinding chambers. Eliminates possibility of cross-contamination and the effort of cleaning.
The Tube Mill 100 control accommodates larger grinding chambers with a maximum volume of 100 ml (MT 100) .
The grinding chamber and cover are made of a transparent material so grinding tests can be observed at any time. The mill can be used for hard (Mohs hardness up to 5), dry and brittle materials. It is especially suitable for grinding seeds, such as corn and wheat.
The mill will only start when the hood is closed, making it safe to use.

It is especially suitable for grinding seeds, such as corn and wheat. During development of the mill, particular emphasis was placed on security. The mill will only start when the hood is closed. When the grinding chamber is not inserted properly or not closed properly, the drive unit will display an error message and the drive will not start. During operation, the grinding chamber cannot be opened. The drive and the grinding chambers are secured with a labyrinth seal. No dust can escape from the chamber or penetrate the drive.
The redesigned batch mill grinds hard, brittle, soft and fibrous materials for volumes up to 50 ml. Because samples may be embrittled directly in the grinding chamber; tough, oily and aqueous samples can also be grinded.
The development of the mill placed particular emphasis on safety. The mill will only start when the lid is closed and can only be opened at standstill. A quick stop feature further increases the safety of the user.
Test results of the new A 10 basic are comparable with the ones of the previous model A 10, due to the same grinding chamber, cutter geometrics and speed.
The new mill A 10 basic offers the following features:
Scope of delivery
Batch mill for 2 different grinding procedures:
Impact grinding of hard, brittle or non-elastic grinding materials with high-grade stainless steel beater. This beater can be used for a Mohs hardness up to 6 (incl. with delivery).
Cutting grinding for pulverizing soft, fibrous materials with a cutting blade (not incl. with delivery).
Scope of delivery
The package includes MultiDrive basic and a 250 ml milling chamber MI 250 with standard beater made of stainless steel. It is the perfect successor of the M 20 batch mill.
For crushing fibrous substances such as paper and vegetation, but also for plastics and material with a low volume weight. Before being discharged, the ground material passes through a sieve. This sieve is interchangeable and available in different hole sizes (not incl. with delivery). The ground material can then be collected using an NS 29 standard ground vessel.
For crushing brittle, hard materials such as minerals, building materials up to Mohs hardness 6. Before being discharged, the ground material passes through a sieve. This sieve is interchangeable and available in different hole sizes (not incl. with delivery). The ground material can then be collected using an NS 29 standard ground vessel.
